She has written more than twenty-five of these beachy reads to date, although she recently told The Wall Street Journal that the appropriately-titled Swan Song (2024) will be the last of the Nantucket-based novels. “I have run out of really good ideas for Nantucket novels, and I don’t ever want to put out a product that is subpar,” Hilderbrand explained.

Futurama is the brainchild of The Simpsons creator Matt Groening. Groening and fellow writer David X. Cohen developed the story and characters together, then pitched the half-hour sci-fi comedy to Fox Broadcasting Company. The show premiered on Fox on March 28, 1999, and ran for four seasons, earning two primetime Emmys for Outstanding Animated Program, before being canceled on August 10, 2003.

Some backstory

Reeves came up with the idea and story arc for a comic about a character called Berzerker (B for short), an immortal warrior who is half-mortal and half-god. B wanders the earth for 80,000 years, ultimately starting to work for the U.S. government to take on brutal, blood-soaked battles they can’t find anyone else to fight. B is handsomely compensated for this work, but it takes a vicious toll on his psyche.

Heretic is the hotly-anticipated new horror thriller movie written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. This is the same creative duo who conceived the story for A Quiet Place and subsequently co-wrote the screenplay with John Krasinski. Together they’ve written and directed three other horror films: Nightlight (2015), Haunt (2019), and 65 (2023). They were also tapped to write the film adaptation of the Stephen King novel The Boogeyman (2023).
