Everyone fell in love with Shrek (Mike Myers) upon the release of his first movie. He lives in a swamp. He’s grumpy and wants to be left alone. This guy went on a quest to battle a dragon to ensure his solitude. Shrek is the relatable hero of a generation. Much to Shrek’s dismay, he does make friends with Donkey (Eddie Murphy) and a few other fairytale creatures. And he found love with the beautiful princess/ogre Fiona (Cameron Diaz). In the subsequent sequels, Shrek has many adventures while his friend and family groups grow. It also doesn’t hurt that the movie soundtracks always slap.

Originally, Fallout was only for computers and had that third-person camera angle that was so popular way back when. Yet the post-apocalyptic game set itself apart with its aesthetic mix of 1950s vibes and wasteland realness. The Fallout video game series created a complex post-apocalyptic world, combining a nostalgic past and a desolate future. It mixes a 1950s pop culture aesthetic with a Western-style desolation in a world destroyed by atomic bombs. Fans of the video games know the lore is deep and detailed. If done well, Fallout would make a fantastic television series. Prime Video undertook that challenge and will release the first 8-episode season of Fallout on April 11.

Bluey follows a young puppy as she learns about the world and handles tough emotions. Kids love it because it is funny. Parents love it because it is funny and teaches everyone a lesson without realizing it.

Ricky Stanicky is an upcoming comedy from Amazon MGM Studios. The rated-R comedy looks like a better version of the late 1990s/early 2000s comedies that centered on dudes being dudes. Alan Ritchson, who also starred as Hank Hill/Hawk in Titans, plays the titular Jack Reacher, and he means business when it comes to bad guys stepping out of line.

Through the pain, Oliver’s perfect delivery of brilliant jokes helps us feel a little better.

The team who brought us The Pacific and one of the best WWII series ever, Band of Brothers, returns to Apple TV+ with Masters of the Air. Instead of focusing on ground forces in the European and Pacific theaters like previous shows, this series’ action happens in the sky. Masters of the Air follows the B-17 forces as they bomb against the German army. The large planes, also known as Flying Fortresses, would fly over Europe to try to destroy key locations of the Nazi war effort. Things like ball-bearing factories and railroads were often the targets of these flights. Although the B-17s packed a ton of power against the German fighter jets, like the Messerschmitt Bf 109, the planes were like sitting ducks. Every time the Americans left on a daytime bombing mission, crews knew there was a good chance they weren’t coming home.
