Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice received a final trailer that treated fans to more of the plot, which looks to involve Michael Keaton’s Betelgeuse and Winona Ryder’s Lydia Deetz teaming up to save her daughter, Astrid (Jenna Ortega), from dangers in the Neitherworld.

The newest trailer features an abundance of jokes, puns, and spooky setpieces, leaving many wondering just how scary and appropriate it is for children. Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice carries a PG-13 MPAA rating, meaning some of the content may be inappropriate for pre-teens and parents/guardians should exert caution. In this case, the sequel earns its rating for violent content, macabre and bloody images, strong language, some suggestive material and brief drug use.

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice has gotten a final trailer ahead of its September release. The sequel to the 1988 film chronicles the Deetz family’s return to Winter River. All Hell breaks loose—literally—when Lydia’s daughter, Astrid, uncovers the afterlife portal and apparently runs into some trouble.

The new trailer offers a better look at the plot, largely absent from the first trailer, which spent most of its time rightfully spotlighting Winona Ryder, Michael Keaton, and Catherine O’Hara as returning cast members. Here, we learn Ryder’s Lydia will actually team up with Keaton’s Betelgeuse to save Astrid (Jenna Ortega). It’s a neat twist, considering the pair’s complicated relationship primarily took a backseat to Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam’s (Alec Baldwin) story in the original.

Despite being one of the most popular series in recent history, The Walking Dead has struggled to gain attention at the Emmys. This pattern continues with The Ones Who Live, the spinoff series starring Danai Gurira and Andrew Lincoln as franchise favorites Michonne and Rick, respectively.

The 2024 Emmy nominations ignored The Ones Who Live across all categories. However, Gurira and Lincoln’s exclusion from Outstanding Lead Actor and Lead Actress was the biggest hit for hopeful Walking Dead fans. The two actors have been portraying Rick and Michonne for over a decade combined, yet they’ve failed to secure any Emmy wins.

Team Green or Team Black, House of the Dragon fans unite with their dislike of Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel). Being a hypocrite seems to be Cole’s full-time gig, and he’s got a twisted sense of righteousness that has him saying some very not-nice things about Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy).

Despising him is beyond fair, and I’m personally on the Cole-is-horrible bandwagon. That said, all this unflinching hatred has resulted in audiences overlooking Cole’s complexity as a character. Yes, Cole is terrible, but he’s also had some pretty messy relationships with powerful women. Dubious consent and abuse of power lurk in many of the encounters, yet some brush these facts aside for an oversimplified argument: Cole bad; we hate. This isn’t to say that his poor behavior should be excused, but his motivations are more complex and nuanced than many give him credit for.

Team Green or Team Black? It doesn’t matter. If you’re part of the House of the Dragon fandom, then you’re probably already rolling your eyes and thinking, “Here we go again.” But yes, even in season 2, the Rhaenyra vs. Alicent debate rages on.

While the majority of fans agree that the rivalry between Olivia Cooke’s Alicent and Emma D’Arcy’s Rhaenyra is (and should be) the focal point of House of the Dragon, another side prefers arguing that this position really belongs to Rhaenyra and Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney)—and that the series is doing itself a disservice by mostly ignoring that feud. Debates like this litter X, Reddit, and Tumblr, and you’d be hard-pressed not to run across them if you’re a House of the Dragon fan.
