Marvel Studios just dropped the tracklist for its upcoming Phase 5 foray, Deadpool & Wolverine—and trust me, this thing is absolutely bonkers. So buckle up and get ready for some serious musical whiplash, ’cause this baby’s got everything from ’60s doo-wop to K-Pop, and everything in between.

Deadpool & Wolverine will mark the MCU’s first R-rated endeavor since Disney acquired the IP from Fox, pairing the titular Merc with a Mouth (Ryan Reynolds) with his IRL bestie Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) for a time-twisty buddy romp through the Multiverse. It’s sure to be chock-full of the same raunchy humor and gore that made the first two Deadpool movies so memorable, and it’s got a killer soundtrack to boot. And like most things Deadpool, it’s not afraid to do a little fourth wall breaking.

A new ad has just been released for Marvel Studios’ upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine, giving us a closer look at what very well might be the film’s most high-profile cameo yet: Lady Deadpool. And fans—myself included—are pretty convinced they know exactly who she’ll be played by.

We’re just under a week away from the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, which will bring Ryan Reynolds’ eponymous Merc with a Mouth together with Hugh Jackman’s Logan for a time-twisty, R-rated foray through the MCU, with plenty of Disney jabs, TVA references, and pegging jokes to boot (Kevin Feige has entered the chat). Directed by Shawn Levy, there’s a lot riding on the comic book threequel given the current state of the franchise, but if anyone can save the MCU from certain doom, it’s “Marvel Jesus.”

Longlegs, the latest horror flick to come out of indie production house Neon, is currently rocking the summer box office. But seriously, why are people so obsessed with comparing it to 1991’s The Silence of the Lambs?

Yes, the horror landscape has shifted a lot over the years, but one thing has remained the same: we all love a good old fashioned serial killer case. Longlegs, directed by Osgood Perkins (a.k.a. the son of Psycho star Anthony Perkins), stars Maika Monroe as small-town FBI agent Lee Harker, a haunted husk of a human being who finds herself tasked with tracking down the perpetrator of the aptly-dubbed “Birthday Murders” after the killer (Nicolas Cage), who goes by the alias “Longlegs,” leaves her the code to his cipher.

Oh, House of the Dragon. There’s never been a shortage of pathetic men in this franchise, but so far, in season 2, no one is quite as much of a sore loser than Daemon Targaryen. So, will episode 6 finally solve our little Daemon problem once and for all when it’s released on HBO/Max?

Let’s be real: Things are a proper mess for House Targaryen at the moment, but I think I speak for most House of the Dragon fans when I say Daemon (Matt Smith) seriously needs to shape up if he’s to ever bring Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) to victory—if that’s what he ever wanted in the first place. As Team Black and Team Green continue to hash it out for the Iron Throne, the stakes are higher than ever, especially now that dragons are involved. And clearly, Daemon is feeling a teensy bit insecure about his role in the whole thing, choosing to play IRL Luigi’s Mansion at Harrenhal instead of actually, well, helping.

At long last, “The Star Spangled Man with a Plan” is set to return to the big screen, and this time, he’s got a new face. Director Julius Onah’s Captain America: Brave New World will mark Sam Wilson’s (Anthony Mackie) first solo endeavor as the titular hero following the events of the Disney+ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier miniseries, though sorry, Bucky girls—Sebastian Stan’s probably going to sit this one out. Marvel fans are long overdue for a good ol’ fashioned Cap romp, and based on what we’ve seen so far, it looks like we’re in for a high-stakes political thriller reminiscent of Captain America: Civil War.

Look, I’m hardly the first person to comment on the recent sludge of Marvel discourse, but still, it’s important to note that Phase 5 hasn’t exactly been kind to the MCU. So far, it’s been an era of epic highs (i.e. Loki season 2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) and low-lows (sorry, Secret Invasion), but the entertainment giant has the chance to turn things around with its upcoming cinematic releases, namely, Deadpool & Wolverine and Captain America: Brave New World, the latter of which just received a shiny new trailer.

Like it or not, there’s an obvious answer to House of the Dragon’s succession crisis—and fair warning, it’s pretty brutal. So even though Prince Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) can’t fix everything for the Greens, here’s why he probably should’ve gone through with murdering his brother in the most recent episode.

If House of the Dragon season 1 was about betrayal, then season 2 is about revenge. So far, we’ve seen key players from both Team Black, loyal to Queen Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy), and Team Green, loyal to King Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney), go up in literal flames as the squabble for the Iron Throne rages on. The final moments of last night’s The Acolyte episode marked a stark departure for the Star Wars universe with the inclusion of a brand new pop song. So, why are fans up in arms about “Power of Two,” and what do its lyrics actually mean in the broader context of the show?

From the get-go, showrunner Leslye Headland’s The Acolyte has challenged preconceptions of what a Star Wars production can be, bringing a new flavor to the galaxy far, far away—to mixed results. Its unreliable narrator, nonlinear storytelling, and noir overtones make it kind of a puzzling addition to Lucasfilm’s catalog of Disney+ originals when you think about it, which could explain why the more outspoken (cough cough, toxic) side of the fanbase isn’t exactly pleased with what they’ve seen so far.

If you’re still reeling from the most recent House of the Dragon episode, trust me, you’re not alone. “The Red Dragon and the Gold” left audiences on a shocking cliffhanger—specifically, in regards to King Aegon II. But did he really meet his end at the battle at Rook’s Rest? Well, it’s complicated.

As the “Dance of the Dragons” continues to unfold on season 2 of HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon, things aren’t looking too hot for our key players: the Greens, loyal to King Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney), and the Blacks, who believe Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) is heir to the Iron Throne (they’re so right, actually). Although the series really kicked things into high gear with that brutal “Blood and Cheese” scene, last night’s episode was a real game-changer, eliciting plenty of ooos and ahhhs—and perhaps, a few tears here and there. Can we stop killing off the best characters, please?!

Deception, lies, and betrayal are at the heart of the latest Star Wars show to hit Disney+, The Acolyte. Now that we know that even the Jedi can’t be trusted, fans are starting to wonder, is Master Vernestra Rwoh hiding something?

It’s hard to believe that we’re already approaching the end of Leslye Headland’s High Republic show, The Acolyte. With just one episode left to go until the finale, the series has some burning questions to address, namely, about dark sider Qimir (Manny Jacinto) and what exactly happened on Brendok 16 years ago. The High Republic era might’ve just found a stand-in for one of the most beloved Jedi Masters in Star Wars history. And now that he’s made his debut in episode 6 of Leslye Headland’s The Acolyte, the show could take him in nearly any direction, good or bad.

If Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a lanky, quick-witted Jedi Padawan with a British twang and luscious red locks to boot, well, think again, because the latest episode of The Acolyte, titled “Teach/Corrupt,” just brought someone new to the table. Behold, Harry Trevaldwyn’s Mog, who’s the kind of guy who will remind you to down some Dramamine and ginger ale before a 6 AM flight. You might recognize this actor from My Lady Jane, which is also enjoying a solid run on streaming. So, who is Mog, and what will his role be in the greater Star Wars universe?
